100 Word Challenge for Grown ups – Week#58
….as the apple fell….I couldn’t believe my eyes. I looked around, did anyone else see it. What should I do? I haven’t eaten for awhile. Wow, an apple. I haven’t had an apple for a few years. Since the new laws have been put into place there are no public places. Everything belongs to the government. If I take it I will definitely go to jail. These days you are guilty to proven innocent. Is it worth it? At least in jail I’ll be fed. But, my freedom. What freedom, that’s long gone. We waited too long to fight.

Interesting take on this theme! I am concerned about freedom too. I hope we still have some a decade from now.

O-M-G. The bottom line is so strong: At least in jail I’ll be fed—so sad.

But in jail, will they feed you apples?

Great take on the prompt, really got me thinking. Love the last line ‘We waited too long to fight.’ Sometimes I wonder if we’re halfway there already…
